*Fayad Al Shaqab

“In movement, under the saddle Krushans reveal their inner identity as war horses." - Philippe Paraskevas in the second volume of his world-famous book, The Egyptian Alternative

*Fayad Al Shaqab is by *Al Adeed Al Shaqab out of Exotic Tremor, a Richter MH daughter. A long time admirer of *Al Adeed Al Shaqab, Dr. Jody Cruz says of *Fayad Al Shaqab, "he will be a source of MH blood that is completely different for us." The Rancho Bulakenyo breeding program focuses on proven mare families, while adding diversity through the sire line. Fayad complements the direction of Jody's current program, as he returns an additional source of the BintAzizaPrincess mare family to Rancho Bulakenyo, with a slight twist. *Al Adeed Al Shaqab's matriline includes the Albadeia-bred mares: Nagdia, and her dam, Zahia, a grandaughter of Bint Samiha, who incidentally, was also the dam of Nazeer, an important ancestral element at Rancho Bulakenyo. Nagdia and Zahia, were significant post-war foundation mares for Albadeia, establishing a family who would prove their influence consistently, over the course of time. Zahia was sired by Sid Abouhom, a son of the mare Layla, an Ibn Rabdan daughter, who when bred to Nazeer, produced Nagdia, representative of the formula that General Von Szandtner practiced while director of El Zahraa: Mansour crossed with Ibn Rabdan.

Some of the finest and most influential horses in Egypt resulted from this cross and this powerful legacy continues into the future, as *Fayad Al Shaqab proves himself as a sire, underscoring Dr. Jody Cruz's wisdom in selecting him for the Rancho Bulakenyo program.
