La Frasera...in 1-2-3

Yesterday, it was all about a La Frasera-bred mare named Frasera Kattara, as pictured in a multi-page advertisement published within the new issue of Desert Heritage Magazine.

Frasera Kaled ( Nabeel Al Rayyan x Frasera Bint Nefisa)

Seeing this mare's photo in the magazine naturally led me to La Frasera's website, where I stumbled upon Frasera Kaled, a 2017 stallion also sired by Nabeel Al Rayyan and out of Frasera Bint Nefisa, an Imperial Al Kamar daughter, who traces in her matriline to Imperial Sayyah, the Kayed daughter out of *Malekat El Gamal, who also produced Sundar Alisayyah, the dam of the great Al Adeed Al Shaqab. While technically, Frasera Kaled is Hadban Enzahi, he is physically representative of a blend of Dahman/Saqlawi horses.

A couple of clicks away, I found myself looking at a photo that had all my arabitis neurons firing, all at the same time (system overload), as I tried to make sense of what I was seeing. Who to focus on? Frasera Kattara, Frasera Kaled or Frasera Ramsete, a 2008 grey stallion? I was completely blind-sided and not ready for outrageously beautiful horses, one right after another and in triplicate! Where is the disclaimer warning of a significant sensory overload experience (and to grab a bottle of smelling salts, just in case you get light-headed and your head lands on your keyboard?) Look at that face and those king size nostrils. Oh my!

Frasera Ramsete (Frasera Ramses Shah x Frasera Wasima)

What's interesting is that the damline of Frasera Ramsete is the same damline that we find in Frasera Kaled's pedigree, as both horses trace to Imperial Sayyah. However, take what I just wrote, to the next level because Frasera Bint Nefisa, the dam of  Frasera Kaled,  is almost a full sister of Frasera Ramsete (with the exception of Frasera Ibn Shahil, the sire of Frasera Wasima)! The prepotency of the La Frasera horses as found within these 3 horses, amazes me as it speaks of consistency, in producing a breed type, unique to the La Frasera program.
